Welcome to Simply French
Thank you for visiting my shop, Simply French. My name is Nan, I have been lucky enough to have spent the last 33 years pursuing a creative work life. I spent 15 years making French inspired ceramic urns and pots in vintage finishes (which I still use as props in my furniture photos). Simply French was established in 2003 and then Annie Sloan Chalk Paint came into my life in 2015! I reinvented my shop in 2016 so that I could paint all day every day after losing my son Marc in a fatal car accident. Painting helped me deal with my grief. Every piece I paint shows my love for Marc. I love that what I do for a living is good for the planet too, up-cycling pre-loved furniture and breathing life back into every piece.
My vision is to create a community to share, learn, discover and be inspired.
As I head into 2020 I am going to do everything possible to lead a happy, grateful and creative life and I would love for you to join me on that journey.
